Sound Studies was conceived and created by a motivated Patrolman looking to excel on the Civil Service Sergeant's exam without the intervention of a "prep course". In a competitive department of over 100 police officers, this 7 year veteran overcame the odds and ended up coming out #1 on his agency's 2006 Sergeant's list, prevailing over approximately 50 test takers. Keep in mind, many of his colleagues had taken "prep courses" and/or had much more time in seniority. He credits most of this achievement to the studying he did using this exact Sound Studies program.
